Career Journey

Nathaniel Dickson is an experienced personal development coach and counsellor who adapts the Indian philosophy of Vedanta. Inspired by his grandmother, who was a follower of the Vedanta philosophy, Nathaniel opted to study this philosophy in India when he was planning to go to university.

Whilst learning the philosophy, Nathaniel discovered that the teachings allowed him to discover his true motivation, which was to help and support people. With this revelation, he returned back to the UK and completed a Certificate in Education to help others realise their true motivation.

Nathaniel worked as a tutor and counsellor in a number of Further Education, Higher Education and private adult education institutions including The Manchester College, Beyond Labels and Manchester Counselling Training Centre.

As an instructor for the IIEPD, he brings his knowledge and experience of the Vedanta philosophy, counselling, tutoring as well as a strong appreciation of the Person-Centred approach, which draws strong parallels with Vedanta, that was devised by the late renowned psychologist, Dr Carl Rogers.

In addition to personal development, Nathaniel has interests in mechanics, electronics and cycling.
